Finally! A gloomy day here in San Diego. I never thought I'd be wishing and hoping for a day with gray skies and scattered showers but lately I have been. I never thought I'd be yearning for sweater and boot weather either. But here I am, drinking a mug of hot chocolate, cuddled under my favorite blanket on the couch pretending it's cold outside. I've been craving fall weather lately. Some say San Diego only has one season but I disagree. The leaves on our trees may not change colors and our neighborhoods don't smell of bonfires, but I definitely feel a change when autumn comes. Yet, I still have the luxury of running in a pair of shorts on Christmas day -- something I do not take for granted.
This gloomy, gray weather will not last. Summer will march on for as long as she can. Lately, I've been thinking about where our next move will be. We L-O-V-E San Diego but we never planned on staying here for the rest of our lives. There are so many great places to live and experience. And with my recent desire for chilly weather, the Pacific Northwest is sounding mighty enticing. Perhaps northern California. We've always wanted to live in the bay area. We have a solid four years left here, but after 3 years here, I think I am finally ready to start exploring other places. I may actually have to buy gloves and a real winter coat again! Imagine that! We are considering Portland, the Bay Area, Seattle and even Colorado! Which of these places is your favorite? We've yet to visit Seattle and Portland, so they are next on our list.
|Oh San Francisco...|

Speaking of beautiful cities -- I have decided to register for the SANTA BARBARA INTERNATIONAL MARATHON! I couldn't be more excited. Angela has the weekend off from school and I just so happen to have a four day weekend thanks to Veteran's Day and my lovely flex schedule. It was totally meant to be!
I took a rest day so that I could come home, eat dinner and relax on the couch like a lazy person. Tomorrow, back to the grind! Time to get serious about my tempo runs with this marathon around the corner. It's nice to be training for something again! Yipee!
Did I mention that Ang is in a massage class right now for her physical therapy program? You know what that means! Free massages!! I am so excited about this. We have created a makeshift massage table out of our dining room table My legs hang off a bit, but hey, it works!
