We went to Ortega's and shared what I believe to be the world's best vegetarian burrito. It has pumpkin puree in it for cryin' out loud! We also shared the most insane salad with watermelon and a delicious sesame seed vinaigrette. Yum! I never get around to taking pictures of my food because I start eating it before the waiter even takes his hand off my plate. #bloggerfail

Ang hates this picture and I am in trouble for posting it. :)
We went to see The Perks of Being a Wallflower after dinner. It was hilarious, charming and surprisingly heart-wrenching. Ang read the book in high school and I hadn't. I was not expecting the heavy subject matter that would come later in the film. I thought the movie was perfectly cast and very well done. However, I left the theatre crying and pretty upset. I think my line of work (advocating for children in the foster care system) has made me more sensitive to these types of things. I would definitely recommend it but be prepared for some heavy stuff.
This week is a cut-back week in terms of training so I only have 10 miles on the books today. I am putting it off because I'd rather surf the web and drink some coffee. And that is completely acceptable when you only have 10 miles to run. :) I sure enjoy these cut-back weeks. I only wish the rainy, chilly weather would have hung around for more than two days. I am tired of this sunshine and warmth. I'm starting to think it's overrated. I just want some chilly, jacket and boot weather already! Is that too much to ask?
Next week I am attempting 20 again and I hope it is far more successful than last week's 20 where I wanted to die and my toe felt like it might need to be amputated.
Good luck to all of the fabulous ladies running the SAN FRANCISCO WOMEN'S MARATHON today! I wish I was there!
4 more weeks until Santa Barbara!!!
