Today, my appetite finally returned and all I wanted was french toast. I tried to crave salad or a sandwich like I usually do, but it wasn't happening. Vegetables, blech. So I caved. I ordered some french toast from the classiest breakfast joint, Chez Denny's, and picked it up for lunch. Yes, this is a new low for me. But after four whole days of misery, I deserved it!
I thoroughly enjoy creating lists of the best things from each year because it's easy and fun to look back at when you're feeling nostalgic. Here is my Best of 2011 post.
So, here goes...

I didn't even have time to write WHY these were the best of 2012 but trust me. ;-)
I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year's Eve! I plan on going out to eat and laying low since I'm still feeling under the weather. Today is Day 5 without running and I am thinking I better not push it. I plan on an easy run tomorrow on the trails. I wish I could have rounded out 2012 with some great miles, but the flu had other plans for me.
It's time to have a nice quiet evening of intention setting and reflection along with some delicious Thai food from Plumeria! It's so great to have my appetite back, and I'm glad I got that french toast out of my system. Time for some veggies.

I also thought Wild was pretty interesting and love the Lumineers. I just read What I Talk About What I Talk About Running by Haruki Murakami- definitely the best running book I've read this year!
ReplyDeleteI want to read Eat & Run!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you've been sick! The flu this year is AWFUL! They've already closed schools here once for a few days because of it, but it's still running rampant. My poor niece was down with it for 8 days. So far I've evaded the flu. Now if I could just shake this nasty head cold...
ReplyDeleteWild was also my favorite read this year!
ReplyDeleteI spent new years eve with a bunch of strangers in the mountains. It was exactly what I needed. Happy New Year, feel better!
I've been down with a nasty flu bug and haven't chibuyer so much as moved a finger. The last few days consisted of Green Machine,
